A Race for the Hero
So I like to write IR romances, but I was a reader first. And even though I don't read as much as I want to, or write for that matter. I read Gold Mountain the other day and thought it was really good. I thought it was too short though. I also side eye Loose-Id publishing for charging over five dollars for a novella ebook. So I said let me check around and see if I can find some more AMBW books. Low and behold there really aren't that many. Most I've already heard of, but not too many new books. I am a little picky when it comes to the titles I read. As anyone should be, but I'm just kind of surprised that most IR books are bw/wm. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I like variety. How do you guys feel about it? Do you wish there were more IR books where the hero was a race other than white?
'cause I mean really ....

I agree, there should definitely be a variety of IR books. And while I'm not particularly "attracted" to Asian men (there are a few exceptions; Rain being one haha) I would love to read more native american/bw or middle eastern/bw. But yes, more IR than just wm/bw.:)

Thx for chiming in, Sophie!
I am thinking I will lean more towards more exotic pairings than just bw/wm.
My deep preference is caucasian men, preferably blonde/red heads. I like this singer in that movie with Naomie Harris, but here he does squat for me.
I agree and I tell yu its a major reason I don't read IR fiction because honestly, I'm tired of reading bw/wm fiction, especially wm with blond hair and blue eyes. but that's just me.
